有些歌手当他们的华语歌曲已经唱的深入人心的时候，我们会渐渐忘了他们的国籍，比如被誉为“行走的CD”的林俊杰，他其实是新加坡人。
早已听惯了JJ唱华语歌，倒是似乎很少听到他唱英文歌。作为母语是英语的新加坡人，JJ的英文歌虽然不多，但每首听来都是一种享受，完全不输欧美歌手。
我们都知道林俊杰的歌基本上都是自己作曲的，而他的英文歌自然也不例外，这首《Lier and Accuser》便是由林俊杰自己作曲填词的，歌曲收录在2015年12月25日发行的实验专辑《和自己对话》之中。

遭遇低潮时，JJ会向上帝祷告，提醒自己真正的平静来自于大爱。有人说，比起JJ的中文歌，他的英文歌更有态度，因为中文能力不太强的他，只有通过英文才能将自己的想法说出来。
那么，这首《Lier and accuser》或许唱的就是林俊杰的心声吧，唱出了他在遭遇负能量时的心情，同时也是他为那些怀有恶意的人进行的祈祷。
另外一首也是由JJ作词作曲的《Cinderella》却是不同于《Lier and accsuer》的风格。
这首歌是林俊杰11年的专辑《学不会》中唯一的英文歌曲，歌曲以爵士乐旋律为基调，口吻浪漫、歌词诗意，并渗透着百老汇般斯文且成熟的男人味，通过这首歌，你将能听到一个完全不一样的林俊杰。
