乔伊斯的死者主题 乔伊斯《死者》中的“漏洞叙事”与多重主题
--------------------------Page1------------------------------山东师范大学硕士学位论文第三章解读《死者》的多重主题。该章依靠挖掘小说中的漏洞来对《死者》进行“症候式阅读”,从而逐层得出小说的四重主题——“精神矛盾”、“精神瘫痪”、“精神死亡”和“精神复活”。
第一节为多重主题之“矛盾”。以《死者》中青年一代为分析对象,分析爱尔兰人无论是在情感、政治、宗教等生活领域中,最终的“瘫痪”都是始于“矛盾痛苦”;第二节为多重主题之“瘫痪”。
以《死者》中中年一代为分析对象,指出爱尔兰人在历经了种种的矛盾之后没有寻求到更好的精神出路,由此陷入了全面的麻痹与瘫痪;第三节为多重主题之“死亡”。
本节以《死者》中老年一代为分析对象,指出爱尔兰人在情感、宗教、政治等各个方面的“精神之死”;第四节为多重主题之“复活”。本节以加布里埃尔和富里为分析对象,在揭示小说主题方面是对前三小节的升华,揭示在写过了爱尔兰人精神的矛盾、瘫痪和死亡之后,乔伊斯渴望看到的是爱尔兰整个民族的重生和复兴。
